I absolutely adore it when people make art using my image. Or in this case, the image of Creature, my character from the original season of Stan Lee's Who Wants To Be A Superhero. Clay Sheff is the author of the Madrid, NM comic strip series. He drew this up after discovering that I had visited his tiny, artsy home town during the filming of Wild Hogs. It's a VERY small town, so the coincidence is massive!

There's something uniquely exciting and at the same time complimentary about when artwork is based on you as a person. A talented artist who uses the moniker "CowKitty" did the piece of me that I use for my avatar years ago - and I love it.
Hence, I totally get the rush you feel when you see stuff like that. :)
Sorry we missed each other in Tampa (for FetishCon.) I was stuck in South Florida for the weekend and couldn't make it over to that side of that state and I have (since them) been swamped with other conventions. DragonCon was just a couple of weeks ago and Anime Weekend Atlanta is this coming weekend.
Keep blogging - I love the random notes you post from time to time. :)
Thanks for saying hi and letting me know you read this, Tom! How was Dragon Con? And yes, when the art is so flattering, it helps! I wish her beautiful jaw and eye line were exactly mine in the mirror!
DragonCon was a blast... here's some detail:

I read your blog (and others) using Google Reader. It's a great tool which works on my PC on my phone (the latter being where I read it the most.)
:)
NIce Dragon Con experience for a surprise visit!
It's also nice to know how others read their internet news. My cell phone doesn't even store telephone numbers, so obviously I haven't joined the fancy on-the-go connectivity that iPhone users and other model owners have. Do you find that you are one your phone all day now?
ACTUALLY... I find that I save time during the day am able to keep up on more because I can read items on my phone when during bits of the day when I am stuck doing things like sitting on hold, on a bus, in a cab, etc. So the time spent on the phone cuts down on my time on a computer. :)
That just might be the most convincing advice I've gotten!
